The hotel is full of character and beautifully kept within amazing grounds. The rooms were lovely with a log fire, beautiful furnishings, and extremely comfortable, containing everything you need including a television and tea and coffee making facilities. However, they were a bit basic. The service, a perfect combination of friendly and attentive staff, was among the key highlights. The dining experience was mixed with an excellent dinner but a breakfast that was not ideal. The facilities were superb, adding value to the stay.
